Calm, Compassionate Teaching: Keeping Your Cool When Your Student is Losing Theirs with Larry Epstein, Ph. D. FULL
Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity full

Teachers consistently report that student misbehavior remains one of the most stressful aspects of their job.  The toughest moments usually come when the student is having some kind of tantrum or meltdown.  For older students, this behavior may take the form of disrespectful language, defiance, or “having an attitude.”  It is hard to know how best to help these students in these moments, particularly when the behavior is so disruptive to the learning environment.  This workshop will help you identify the most common reasons for student misbehavior and provide you with practical strategies for addressing the behavior in the moment as well as helping the students build crucial social-emotional skills so that the behavior does not reoccur.

Facilitated by, Lawrence Epstein, Ph. D.
